Dr. Ya-Ching Hsieh holds a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Medicine in Anesthesiology and Critical Care. She has completed both a Master of Public Health in Global Health concentration with a focus on Epidemiology and Biostatistics as well as a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare. Her areas of interest include clinical specialties anesthesia, pain medicine, surgery, and psychiatry, in addition to clinical and industry trials, population research, patient care and safety, healthcare systems improvement, and medical education. She has worked as a global health anesthesiologist consultant in underserved and low resourced countries as well as in hospitals with state of the art operating theaters. She is also experienced in large clinical trials sponsored by federal grants and multinational industry clinical device and pharmaceutical trials. Her clinical and research background provides her with the experience to educate and guide early career researchers and medical students.
